It's a shot in the dark. This offered a much-needed musical education for me every Sunday morning.

Yep, Jackson, Mississippi.

106.7? i used to listen to this. they also hosted for a time a weekly syndicated thing called Pepsi New Music Exclusives. 89'-90' or so. b-sides, outtakes, live rareties and stuff. heard the pixies on there first time. blew me away. "debaser" performed live somewhere.

four months pass...
I lived in Vicksburg, Mississippi from '87 to '89 and looked forward to tunes 'til two every Sunday. I wish I could remember the DJ's name. The songs were great and he was better.

yeah that dj was the best. First place I heard Big Star, Flying Burrito Brothers, lots of stuff. I pretty much grew up in V'burg.

two weeks pass...
David Adcock, Tunes 'til Two. In the mid 90's he had a weekday program during the lunch time - Tunes at Noon?

He would string together songs that had a common element, then talk about a Jackson business for a couple of minutes. He turned me on to Bob Dylan during my formative years.

Sadly, he passed in the late 90's. I don't think they even tried to replace him.
