was this a big record? i can find very little mention of it anywhere. it was from about 96 maybe? how do you see this fitting in, in the scheme of things, and whatever happened to Real Live?

Better late than never.

The Real Live album, "the turnaround", is very solid and a lot the samples used on it have since been jacked by other people.

'Crime is money' is probably the best song on there but 'real live shit' was their biggest song. There was also a remix of that with Rae + Ghost, Lord Tariq and some Wu-Tang b-lister.

Real Live was Larry O and Producer K. Def. Larry O is an alcoholic and now works at a carwash and sells weed. K. Def was a protege of Marley Marl and did beats for L.L Cool J and Lords Of The Underground. He's recently been doing beats for Ghostface.

They also had a very good song on the 'high school high' soundtrack called 'get down for mine'.
