It's official, James Blunt = James Blount.

According to Heat magazine, James Blunt changed his surname from Blount, as he felt it was too posh otherwise. Also, to avoid confusion with a famous internet personality.

It is true. OK, I added the 'internet personality' bit.

He also wanted a surname that could be rhyme-used for lots of funny captions, none of which could be used in magazines.

The word "blount" is quite fun to say though, isn't it? Like "flannel" or "bellicose".

It makes me think of a kind of flatfish, or maybe a small portion of trapped wind. "Hold on a moment while I release this blount".

Any other "Call My Bluff" style insights?

Blount got severely injured at the Rapture show over the weekend, and will not be able to post to ILX for a while.
