one year passes...

The "Cello Concerto" is another excellent piece. As I understand, its meant to give an expression to his experiences as a political prisoner in Korea. Its a tad problematic knowing this, then going on to hear it viz. there is a danger that you'd will the solo passages into sounding far more affecting than they are meant to be.

The ensemble undercuts the solos at the oddest moments..
