hey anyone listen to ja rule? i just got his greatest hits CD compilation called exodus from my universal internship. I mean i never owned any of his CDs, so its kinda nice that i have all his best songs on one cd. Anyhow, i wanted to get your opinions about the CD. (if you havent heard anything new of his you can find it at theincrecords.com) I personally like his stuff, but i know for some reason a lot of people dislike him. Why is that? even when he has good music?

I like the first third, but then there's this Ashanti - J. Lo - Bobby Brown - Ashanti blast and its death.

"Murder Reigns" is a bloody great tune. One of the best uses of an obvious sample in ages.

I'm kinda tempted to pick up Exodus, even if I probably only really like less than half the songs on it, and some of his bigger hits are conspicuously absent ("Between Me And You," "Down Ass Bitch," "Down 4 U").

Many people, myself included, are annoyed by good music. Good music thinks it's so tough, being all good and pleasant and whatnot. Fuck that. So when somebody like Ja Rule comes around and adds to the general fund of good music in the world, it naturally pisses us off, and we tend to take it personally. That's why people - some people, anyhow - don't like Ja Rule.

eighteen years pass...

jokes on you, PEMDAS rules mean that you first divide DMX in half, then add the remains to a fully-formed Sisqo
