The truth is that people want to hear genuine musical
talent.This includes instrumental, lyrical, melodic,
harmonic and rhythmic skills/expression.They also want to
hear unique songwriting, creating a distinctive
song which is musically developed according to the
above criteria.
They know when they've been fed posers, attitudes,
superficial styles, cheaters, stealers, fakes,
shams, scams, posers doing lame covers, morons,
thugs, etc.
Shock value, image and attitude can't hide
an utter lack of musical talent.Just like a big
bowl of plain white rice can't hide
severe hunger.
