Which is better and why?

Lee is Free (Lee is Free), Wednesday, 21 December 2005 06:11 (twenty years ago)

jeezy's is better. its more consistent and there's a lot less neptunes production.

Jesse Albota (JesseA), Wednesday, 4 January 2006 04:31 (twenty years ago)

totally opposite. when i first listened to the jezzy i thought it was gonna be a tough one. jeezy's starts out good but teeters off hard. and can he fucking talk about anything else but trapping. keeps saying the same shit over and over and over again.

jaxon (jaxon), Wednesday, 4 January 2006 05:26 (twenty years ago)

i havent listened to Already Platinum for while, but Thug Motivation has hypnotized me. I play it compulsivley, and i do think its more consistant. But i'm not sure it's "better."

i don't like jeezy's voice as much as a love slim thug's voice, that's a big plus in slims advantage

True, but Jeezy's album (his second, AMG tells me) is way more interesting song-wise.

i like the slim thug album too don't get me wrong.

"and can he fucking talk about anything else but trapping. keeps saying the same shit over and over and over again."

all thugga talks about is being a boss hogg outlaw and the boss of houston. neither criticism says anything negative about the album.

jyeeeeeeeeeeeeeaahhh!

I'm gonna ask this question until someone gives me an answer.

Shakey Mo Collier (Shakey Mo Collier), Wednesday, 4 January 2006 21:10 (twenty years ago)

I suspect it's just a slang version of a name that starts with J (or soft G) e.g. Al Kapone = Al Kapeezy, Lil Wayne = Weezy, etc.

Will (will), Wednesday, 4 January 2006 21:27 (twenty years ago)

Will (will), Wednesday, 4 January 2006 21:29 (twenty years ago)

About half of Almost Platinum is awesome and half is late-era Neptunes hell. (nb: not all the Neptunes tracks fall into the latter category)

CRYING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CLUB (The Reverend), Saturday, 17 January 2009 01:53 (seventeen years ago)

i feel bad for Slim Thug...all these other Houston rappers went platinum with Houston-style production, but when ST got to Interscope, Iovine just went "we signed a new rapper? great, send him to Pharrell!"
