dschinghis kraan (NickB), Thursday, 2 May 2013 16:04 (thirteen years ago)

my "go-to" nnck records for listening are prob Live At Ken's Electric Lake, both A Tabu Two volumes, and Dutch Money. But I haven't heard everything.

Contributions from Neil Hagerty and Cormac McCarthy! Good read that and I feel compelled to find out more about TNNBB.

ken's electric lake is the only one i have actually, bought it just cos of the vibe the sleeve was giving off. thanks for the tips!

I think I still have my copy of RE:MR A FAN, it is confounding.
Got to see these guys play during my only rock tour experience. Unique.

Oh, wow--thanks for the link; really looking forward to digging into this. Guess a NNCK oral history doesn't need to come out in book form now!

(Intonomancy's maybe my fave, FWIW...)

BISH HOOS aka the teendrimer (Craig D.), Thursday, 2 May 2013 17:14 (thirteen years ago)

haven't listened in a while or heard much of the early stuff, but sticks & stones & intonomancy were my favorites at the time. lost track after dutch money.

controversial vegan pregnancy (contenderizer), Thursday, 2 May 2013 17:29 (thirteen years ago)

I remember really liking Letters From The Serth CD, the 1st one ( I think there were two??)

Flat Of NAGLs (sleeve), Thursday, 2 May 2013 20:11 (thirteen years ago)

I really want to like their records but I find most of them boring

huun huurt 2 (Hurting 2), Thursday, 2 May 2013 20:19 (thirteen years ago)

fascinating

the display names will fall like rain (Matt P), Thursday, 2 May 2013 20:32 (thirteen years ago)

the recording quality of some of their records -- earlier ones especially - makes it difficult to hear everything that is going on, but careful and open-minded listening to nnck reveals a lot going on. also, seeing them live helped make their records click with me.
