rizzx, Friday, 23 December 2005 15:43 (twenty years ago)

the b-side really smokes, nails that inverse of pop / cast of noise thing i always hoped they'd do more of on record

Nick Sylvester, Friday, 23 December 2005 15:45 (twenty years ago)

first album with new member jon nicholson, heavy on the blippery, mind-altering

cutty (mcutt), Friday, 23 December 2005 16:39 (twenty years ago)

Whiney G. Weingarten (whineyg), Friday, 23 December 2005 17:14 (twenty years ago)

riff-raff koan: the b-side of a cd.

imbidimts, Friday, 23 December 2005 17:30 (twenty years ago)

I tried to talk to some dude about this once but he was more concerned with dancing like a raver.

GET EQUIPPED WITH BUBBLE LEAD (ex machina), Friday, 23 December 2005 18:11 (twenty years ago)

Double True!, Saturday, 24 December 2005 02:02 (twenty years ago)

beta it's the porkchop factor

Nick Sylvester, Saturday, 24 December 2005 02:38 (twenty years ago)

the second half is pretty good. it doesn't really hold up next to ka or throne. i wish the drum programming was more interesting; they should have hooked up with tan as fuck before they split.

lf, Saturday, 24 December 2005 07:20 (twenty years ago)

u gettin all this?

DR. O. RLY? (eman), Saturday, 24 December 2005 17:40 (twenty years ago)

pork chops should never be undercooked

imbidimts, Saturday, 24 December 2005 18:11 (twenty years ago)

ok i'll tell porkchops

Nick Sylvester, Saturday, 24 December 2005 19:29 (twenty years ago)

one month passes...
picked this up last night. the vocals are more upfront this time and not buried in the mix quite as much which bothered me at first. once i got around them, its pretty good and has sounds like a bit of a new direction, which is probably why they called it an ep even though it isnt that much shorter than thrones or self-destruction.

seconding Indian Jewelry...and Flux...which has reformed as SERVICES. Services might give you a little of that robot-industrial feeling PG had. for older stuff...chrome?
