Is there a longer version of Freebird anywhere?

If this has already been done please tell me but is there a longer version of Freebird than the studio album version? I only ask because after nine minutes or so it fades out and I just wondered if there was another non-fadeout version? And I'm not talking about live versions - I know they go on longer. Thanks.

That's like wanting deleted scenes from a snuff film.

Skynyrd's Innards, a 1989 comp, has an 11 minute take of the song which kills. http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&token=ADFEAEE47B16D24FAF7020D7863A52C0B167FD07C740F2871D2B6A5DD3A13C49840138E253F895B0C3BF2FF703F3A362A55810D1C9F154FCDC63713487EBA36A38365B7775&sql=10:ung9kebt7q7c (tho i think allmusic dude is WRONG and hasn't listened to this at all, because its the same take as the single/album, just faded out later)

I know what you mean - and there is not a lot of LS that I can listen and I pretty much don't enjoy the first five minutes BUT the guitar solo just gets me everytime and in a good way. I just wondered if there was more to it.

The 'Innards' one looks like the same one that's on Masters collection - 10 minutes 7 seconds. There is an 11 minute 9 seconds version on the extended "Pronounced..." - but that calls it a demo version. Now 2 more minutes of guitar solo would be great but 2 more minutes of build up would suck - anyone heard that one?

the innyrds take is definitely more solo than more buildup

I like to think that at any given moment, someone, somewhere, is listening to this track, and therefore the guitars never end x

That live concert Freebird from Oakland 1977 on youtube is one of my favourite music clips of all time. The audience footage alone is staggering.

The comment came from exactly that clip.

But when the story was told the next day at the graduation ceremony
Everyone said that when the ambulance came
The paramedics could hear "Free Bird" still playing on the stereo

You know, it's a very long song...
