Stankonia, the best rap album in 2000-2004.

stankonia is good, but aquemini is their best effort. I could even make a case for ATLiens. Stankonia looks uneven in retrospect.

The great songs on Speakerboxx pwn Stankonia's by some distance. But, yes, Aquemini remains their best.

Aquemini opinions OTM. One more vote for an album that is not an option in the thread title!

Aquemini seems over-rated. Convince me it's better.

The first five or so songs are simply untouchable. Hot, full of energy, and great percussive sounds! Then the rest of the album sort of mellows out, although not completely. But the extended jams on that album, esp. "Spottieotiedopaliscious," just open themselves out for you to immerse yourself in them. Warm and, maybe it sounds odd but, tasty. Really well-paced and full of little delights. Lots of great sing-alongs. It really feels like a partyin' soul album to me. Everyone knows "Speakerboxx...." is uneven, and "Stankonia" is as well. The singles on the latter are some of their best, but "Aquemini" is their most consistent for my money. I find "ATLiens" a little lacking in the energy department, and I can't speak for the first one. Convinced?
