"They sound like KISS"

No they don't. (D-Generation, Toilet Boys, Turbonegro)

The original Kiss (and even the Creatures of The Night line-up) had some kind of weird combination of styles that gave them a really unique sound. Not even Ace Frehley, the man responsible for the most "Kiss-sounding" of all the Kiss albums really sounds like Kiss by himself.

Is it Gene's bass playing that really sounds like Kiss?

Who sounds like Kiss?

WHERE ARE THEY NOW? - ROXUS

Big hair and hard rock were the impetus behind Roxus' drive up the Australian charts during the late '80s. The band had been playing Van Halen and Living Colour-styled rock around Sydney since 1987, but it was as a support act to Poison and Bon Jovi during their respective Australian tours in 1989 that first brought the band to public attention. Ian "Molly" Meldrum signed the band to his ill-fated Melodian label (through Mushroom) and issued two singles in 1989: "Stand Back" and "Body Heat."
By 1990, Roxus had cemented itself as a popular live drawcard; the band's style of black leather, bandannas, and ripped jeans exemplified by popular lead singer Juno Roxas proved popular, and a live EP was released, That Girl, to capitalize on their success.
In April 1991, Roxus supported Warrant during their Australian tour and released their debut full-length album, Nightstreet. It reached number seven on the Australian national charts

I always thought "Chrome" by the Jesus Lizard (a medly of two Chrome tunes..."TV as Eyes" being one of them, I believe) sounded a bit like Dressed to Kill era Kiss meets the Minutemen. But I was drunk a lot at the time.

That would be Paul's, to the extent that Dynasty and Unmasked might as well have been recorded in the same sessions.

P.S. Speaking of which, "Take Me Away (Together As One)" needs to be remade by some Amber/Anastacia type as a gay club anthem.
