it seems like an ILM question. we can get really finely detailed about philology and habits and practice, and determine which is best overall. what is your preference (=bang for buck)?

I used to be all about the chrons but then realized that I enjoyed the economy of schwag and the act of rolling/enjoying more than I enjoyed the mind-blowing of the higher-grade shit. I've since taken a break from smoking and am amazed at how I can keep a thought in my head now. It's nuts.

Zounds, a drug question that has me stumped?? The only way I've ever heard the word schwag used is to mean like free promo items you get when you go to a trade show or something. Like t-shirts, coffee cups, etc.

Schwag refers to the absolute worst quality stuff. The reason why it's often called the "weed" instead of the "herb".

You got me. When I was visiting the pacific northwest, they all called it "the herb", making the crucial weed/herb distinction (in the pacific northwest it's organic, etc etc.) I've never heard anyone say "the herb" here on the east coast.

here in orlando, it's referred to as follows, at least in my circles:

the "larry": mad-ill-chronic, the "crip" as it were. sometimes referred to as his proper name "lawrence" and creatively as "lawrence _____" (fishburne, olivier, etc)

the "reggie": regulars, obviously. the dirt. i don't know reggie well at all.

"mids" are mids. ok, there's your marijuana slang lesson for today.

Cha Cha is right....the way the word "schwag" looks, sounds.....even if it was invented today and was used by noone prior, i'd automatically link it with everything I find unbearably corny about my own race.....see also: when on a ski hill, you hear guys whooping it up, but instead of yelling "woo!" or "yeah!" like a normal human being, they use that infernal, "ee-yooo!".....it makes no sense.
