Noted as pure magic on the thread for this, a great opening tune.

2. FannyPack - Seven One Eight (See You Next Tuesday)

This whole sassy club-girl thing really won me over this year.

3. LCD Soundsystem - Daft Punk Is Playing At My House (S/T)

Well, yeah.

4. Alvarius B - Missy Undertaker (Blood Operatives Of The Barium Sunset LP)

SO GOOD, even better than the rest of the album. Al B turns the blues on its head and shakes some things loose.

5. The Fall - Midnight Aspen (Fall Heads Roll)

This is really the only thing I like from this very by-the-numbers Fall album. It's also the most different-sounding track.

6. MIA - Amazon (Arular)

Reasons why I like this the most:
Slower
Echo on her voice
Self-referential

7. Radio Pyongyang - Motherland Megamix (Sublime Frequencies CD)

I had to get some of this in for the year - what a mindfuck.

8. Animal Collective/Vashti Bunyan - Prospect Hummer (EP of same name)

I like this more than anything from Lookaftering, so here it is.

9. Brian Eno - This (Another Day On Earth)

I'm mixed on the album, but this really does it for me.

10. Lady Sovereign - Hoodie (Basement Jaxx Remix)

Funny, catchy, and danceable in a Princey kinda way.

11. Devendra Banhart - Shame (I Feel Just Like A Child CD single)

Another hidden gem that sounds like a lost Otis Redding tune

12. Dirty Three w/Cat Power - Great Waves (Cinder)

Desolate and gorgeous.

13. Coil - as yet undetermined track from Ape Of Naples

I know there will be something I like more than "Fire In The Mind".

14. Animal Collective - Banshee Beat (Feels)

This beat out "Did You See The Words" but that might go back in to make more room.

15. Kate Bush - Nocturn (Aerial)

This beat out "Bertie" but it's stayin in. Freakin' awesome.

16. Alvarius B - Shenandoah (Blood Operatives Of The Barium Sunset LP)

Nice end-of-mix comedown music, slow traditional cover version.

17. Six Organs Of Admittance - Home (School Of The Flower)

Ditto except not a cover AFAIK.
