I think I can hear dub influences in the drumming on the new one. Which is unusual for BM, to say the least.

OK, it's just the beginning of "Seamless garment . ." But this, his latest 'Massive conspiracy against all life' IS a monumental and very odd recording. Anyone else heard it?

I love the OTHER Leviathan... the one from Brighton with ex-members of Mike Stuart Span. http://www.geocities.com/msspan/index.html
Anyone has anything other than the awful rip of their stuff that has been floating around for years, please halla.
THIS Leviathan is dud 4 me tho.

Freakbeat, BM . . still rock and roll to me.

What's the new BM Leviathan's album called?
― brightscreamer, Saturday, 22 March 2008 21:30 (eighteen years ago)
"Massive Conspiracy Against All Life"

Picked up the latest album -- Massive Conspiracy Against All Life -- as well as the Verräter compilation this evening. Both are the first I've heard of Leviathan, to be honest. How are these two albums/recordings? If I dig these, what else is worth looking into? Thanks!

verrater is the first one i heard and it's basically an anthology of stuff from his many cassettes. it's uneven, disc 2 is a little less exciting and diverse than disc 1, but a really good listen. i haven't heard MCAAL yet, but if you like verrater you'd probably like tentacles of whorror, lurker of chalice, howl mockery at the cross, tenth sub level of suicide, pretty much everything i've heard has been worth the money.

Good to know, thanks! I'm going to work through these today/tomorrow... from what I've heard so far, it's pretty bleak stuff.

New one out in November. Sounds very promising, judging from the track posted with Brandon Stousy's strange new interview with Wrest at P4k.
It's seems that he has gotten himself in some serious trouble... If it's true, it's very bad.

This is one of those things where quick summaries are really far inferior to googling Jef Whitehead and arrest.

I just found The Tenth Sub-level of Suicide used, and while I think some of the music is really pretty solid and interesting, I cannot get with the dude's vocals. They just sound so... fake. It's the same way the guy from Liturgy's vocals rubbed me (it's been a while since I listened to them though, and I've gotten far deeper into BM and metal in general since my first exposure). They sound really contrived, and there's this underlying brat-infant-throwing-tantrum feeling to them that turns me right off. I have no problem with orc-being-drawn-and-quartered, or banshee-about-to-attack, but something about this guy's vocals seems wrong--like he's not really screaming or something.
