I'm listening to Black Market Fetus - Midwest Meltdown, and its the most unoriginal, unmemorable death metal album i think i've ever heard. so much so that its totally cracking me up! i love it! Also, God Dethroned's The Grand Grimoire is pretty lame but i love that too. So what other bad metal albums do you guys like?

Metal Church - The Dark

John Justen (johnjusten), Thursday, 5 January 2006 03:17 (twenty years ago)

wait why is it the worst if you like it?

howell huser (chaki), Thursday, 5 January 2006 04:43 (twenty years ago)

that makes no sense

You mean can't be aware that something is bad and still enjoy it. Of course you can.

Old Man's Child "The Pagan Prosperity"

I still love Slave to the Grind. That's more hard rock than heavy metal, tho'.

Anything by Nasty Savage. I like the instrumentals,

SoHoLa (SoHoLa), Thursday, 5 January 2006 06:54 (twenty years ago)

Sepultura - Roots (both over and underrated)

latebloomer: Grab my puffy nipples and make a wish. (latebloomer), Thursday, 5 January 2006 08:12 (twenty years ago)

King Kobra's Ready to Strike...they covered Kick Axe's "Hunger" back in 1985 or so, and I still think that song's killer, cheesy as it is. Their (formerly) male singer is now enjoying life as a woman. True story.

Are you serious about The Grand Grimoire by God Dethroned? I always thought of it as a really decent, quite melodic piece of deathmetal. Certainly not a sucky album.

Possibly one of the best metal releases form The Netherlands.
But maybe that's bcause I'm Dutch.

I'm gonna win this thread right now

Kamelot, Karma

there ya go

Mr Straight Toxic (ghostface), Thursday, 5 January 2006 15:03 (twenty years ago)

and I seriously love that fucking record

Mr Straight Toxic (ghostface), Thursday, 5 January 2006 15:03 (twenty years ago)

The Grand Grimoire isn't that bad. Some of the lyrics are pretty hilarious, like the song about the Virgin Mary being impregnated by Satan or whoever and Joseph's like "how could this happen? i don't know how to fuck. it must be a gift from God."

Old Combat and Shrapnel Records compilation bands to thread.

George the Animal Steele, Friday, 6 January 2006 02:54 (twenty years ago)

Cemetary - Godless Beauty
Bal Sagoth - Starfire burning..

and I'm definitely overrating early Cradle of Filth, I'm so not into bm for the last 5 years but I still fervently listen to Dusk and Her Embrace and Principles of Evil Made Flesh..

mersenne twister (mersenne_twister), Friday, 6 January 2006 12:37 (twenty years ago)

the latest revenge album. all blustering, amusical blasting and sludged vocals. but when you're in the mood...

baby, disco is fuck (yournullfame), Friday, 6 January 2006 13:26 (twenty years ago)

"Starfire Burning" isn't bad. It's like the epitome of heroic bullshit metal. I like it a lot.

Nitro's Outfuckingrageous is comically bad, and I love it…

veronica moser (veronica moser), Saturday, 7 January 2006 13:54 (twenty years ago)

Ha, I listened to my casette of Outfuckingrageous, well, I guess it was over a year ago now, but it had been a long time before that that I had heard it. It is comically bad, but "Freight Train"? Love that track. That and the "Machine Gun" song ("Eddie"? "Kelly"? I don't have my copy handy.
