weird, yeah.
I loved that Redux thing from a few years back.
― CharlieS, Monday, 25 July 2011 16:49 (fourteen years ago)
yeah, that was good, though there was a WFMU performance that smoked it.

They've played plenty of shows in this line-up in the past few years, with Richard Lloyd. So recording an album's no huge surprise, is it?
― Trudi Styler, the Creator (ithappens), Monday, 25 July 2011 19:22 (fourteen years ago)
i think they've always said there was a new album in the works -- they played a new song or two when i saw them in 2003! but just weird in general that rocket from the tombs has a new album coming out.

― Elderflower Gimcrax Flores (admrl), Wednesday, 10 August 2011 19:26 (fourteen years ago)
(to clarify for Chap)Rocket from the Tombs formed in Cleveland in the mid 70s, they split up and one faction formed Pere Ubu, the other formed the Dead Boys.Peter Laughner was the lead guitarist, blah blah blah
Have not heard it
― Trip Maker, Wednesday, 10 August 2011 19:28 (fourteen years ago)

― tylerw, Wednesday, 10 August 2011 19:33 (fourteen years ago)
Still wearing my red RFTT tshirt regularly after getting it sometime around '04. Been asked if it was advertising Mcdonalds though.
The Day the Earth met is a great cd, wish there was more.
Also wish there was Pere Ubu video before Urrgh a Music War. Or is there any?
― Stevolende, Wednesday, 10 August 2011 21:18 (fourteen years ago)
there's another RFTT show from 1975 floating around, at the agora theater I think? Not as good as the stuff on the official Day The Earth disc. Never seen any video of the band prior to Urrgh, which, yeah, is a shame.
