Anyone know the name of the guy who performed on Top of the Pops in the late 90's sat in a wheelchair? The track was a poppy-house thing, and the only lyric i remember was him singing "Down dow dow d-down"

I think Robert Wyatt did TOTP in a wheelchair - probably 'I'm a Believer', but I am prepared to be corrected.

Just checked on t'internet and Robert Wyatt did do 'I'm a Believer' on TOTP in 1973, after some major arguments with the producer.

Didn't the KLF do it in wheelchairs once? Maybe "It's Grim Up North", or am I getting it all confused with the 2K thing which they definetely were in wheelchairs, but not on TOTP (probably).
