totally lame, I already own every record on the Nurse With Wound list. Yawn.

titty sanskrit (sanskrit), Saturday, 7 January 2006 15:11 (twenty years ago)

Wow; thanks for the link, Earthly. I especially like track two from that posted Forkladd Gud record, "David's Cup"; it sounds like Big Fun/Bitches Brew/On The Corner-era Miles (I guess most specifically like "Go Ahead, John") but hits just as hard, to my ears...

Was that a joke titty, or are you some kind of humongous wanker?

This looks fab!!

Excelsior Syndrum (noodle vague), Saturday, 7 January 2006 17:08 (twenty years ago)

no, i am a making a joke. But I a humuongous wanker also. Can't I be both?

Nice blog, I usually find full album blogs a little ethically dicey, but this stuff is so hard to find.. I also like the idea of a blog with a built in self-destruction date (when he finishes the list).

Also, WMFU has been doing a great job covering the NWW list too

titty sanskrit (sanskrit), Sunday, 8 January 2006 00:43 (twenty years ago)

Sorry man, I had my irony detector completely switched off earlier.

Excelsior Syndrum (noodle vague), Sunday, 8 January 2006 00:46 (twenty years ago)

no problemo, broseph. We're all sharing in the NWW groove.

titty sanskrit (sanskrit), Sunday, 8 January 2006 23:43 (twenty years ago)

that was a joke too.

titty sanskrit (sanskrit), Monday, 9 January 2006 01:49 (twenty years ago)

is the latest one, decayes, any good?

HAKKEBOFFER (eman), Monday, 9 January 2006 03:46 (twenty years ago)

2 new ones! The Forkladd record is excellent, is it a euphonium on there? d/ling the rest now.

Excelsior Syndrum (noodle vague), Monday, 9 January 2006 08:14 (twenty years ago)

Decayes sounds a bit like Liars. It's v. good.

Excelsior Syndrum (noodle vague), Monday, 9 January 2006 09:51 (twenty years ago)

that brast burn album is a total facemelter. love it.

earthly kitt (earthly), Tuesday, 10 January 2006 02:28 (twenty years ago)

That's even a better thing to hear coming from Eartha Kitt.

js (honestengine), Tuesday, 10 January 2006 02:30 (twenty years ago)

That Taj Mahal Travellers album is FANTASTIC.

truck-patch pixel farmer (Rock Hardy), Friday, 13 January 2006 14:22 (twenty years ago)

yes it is. it's also their best stuff and actually worth $38 or whatever (it might be the most i've ever paid for cds).

i found this funny:
disclaimer: this was passed on to me as a cdr and the original rip of this is shady. both sides of the lp have been recorded as one long track and the record crackles quite a bit, which is fine, but one can also hear windows warning pop-ups in a couple of places.

baby, disco is fuck (yournullfame), Friday, 13 January 2006 15:05 (twenty years ago)

There's a shitload of pop-ups on that rip.

Flower King of Flies (noodle vague), Friday, 13 January 2006 15:13 (twenty years ago)

one month passes...
shit, i haven't been keeping up on this

Tuomorous (eman), Saturday, 18 February 2006 20:13 (twenty years ago)

neither has the guy who does the blog. but at least he uses rapidshare so the downloads should stay up for a while.

baby, disco is fuck (yournullfame), Sunday, 19 February 2006 01:53 (twenty years ago)

Most of this stuff is fantastic. Really enjoying. The Iskra record (the one with the pop-ups!) is so not like Ayler though. I'm not sure how it could be described as such. Oh well.

mcd (mcd), Sunday, 19 February 2006 02:28 (twenty years ago)

dude that Windows bing open window shit was done by Eno so WRECKOGNIZE

midi sanskrit (sanskrit), Sunday, 19 February 2006 03:25 (twenty years ago)

That Taj Mahal Travellers album is FANTASTIC.

yeah no kidding. "hello countless drone bands, we beat you to it by 30 years!"

lil' flipper (eman), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 01:25 (twenty years ago)

I edited out the fade downs / fade ups at the end of each side, it makes a big difference in listening, you really get lost when you can't remember how long it's been on

milton parker (Jon L), Tuesday, 28 February 2006 01:44 (twenty years ago)

Artist: DE BYL, FRANZ
Title: Und
Label: WAH WAH RECORDS (SPAIN)
Format: LP
Price: $24.00
Catalog #: LPS 043LP
"Time to unearth another Kraut obscurity, sought-after by collectors worldwide since his inclusion on the legendary NWW list. Franz De Byl's second album, released by Thorofon in 1971, was actually his debut as a solo performer, an eccentric collection of freaky acoustic folk songs with bluesy elements and an extra satirical, political twist (not unlike Floh De Cologne). Weird sounds and compulsive chanting from this master of the acoustic guitar, one of the most curious characters to ever emerge from the Berlin underground!"
