Wait - did Paul Epworth work with the Rapture back in the day?

I was checking out trackbacks and found this profile:

http://www.eye.net/eye/issue/issue_09.30.04/music/meet.html

containing this:

"The band's fab new self-titled debut album for 679 Recordings/Warner -- recorded with Gang of Four's Andy Gill and Liars/Rapture engineer Paul Epworth --"

I just checked the liner notes to my copy of Echoes and Epworth isn't listed. Did he work on the single release or something, or is there crack-smoking afoot?

I think it's the latter. There's a thread about this man, btw: Paul "Phones" Epworth

he did live sound for the rapture and lcd soundsystem as well. James and I met him at the club 93 foot east in London where he was an in-house sound engineer and the Rapture played live there in 2002. he was replaced eventually by black dice producer steve revitte, who also did live sound for both bands. nice guy. i think he also was in a band back then called Lomax, but i cannot remember anything about them.
