1. Sunblock - I'll Be Ready

I think I understand how most techno fans feel about house now.

Rolling rolling rolling

note to readers: 'I'll Be Ready' is a 'filter-house-pop' number sampling the Baywatch title theme.

Haha, that one is absolutely terrible.

All the current stinkers I can think of I heard 1st in 2005.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Wednesday, 11 January 2006 11:26 (twenty years ago)

What's that cod-heavy rock thing "I was born a natural gambler" etc? That's horrible. Also "Your body" which = piss-weak.

How the fuck can anyone not like "Call On Me"?

-- Dom Passantino

Sunblock - I'll Be Ready is different how?

fandango (fandango), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 18:24 (twenty years ago)

hey what's wrong with "Front Back" aside from being largely unnecessary?

yuengling participle (rotten03), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 18:28 (twenty years ago)

well yeah maybe it's more pointless than it is shitty, but still, taking a great beat and hook and changing them just enough to make them worse, ugh.

i like the way this thread makes me feel good about being ignorant. haven't heard the new paul wall? doesn't matter, it fucking blows! ...i could get used to this.

Sunblock - I'll Be Ready is different how?

"Call On Me": chart devouring, dumb sex, Wetherspoon's pop for the masses, catchy.
"I'll Be Ready": like having Scott Mills shit down your throat for all eternity.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 18:45 (twenty years ago)

you keep telling yourself that

fandango (fandango), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 18:52 (twenty years ago)

L.O.V.E. - Ashlee Simpson
-- mike t-diva (mikejl...), January 11th, 2006.

i like that song! the hook's a real earworm, the quasi-feminist lyrics are empowering, and the synths have a nice no doubt-y thing about them!

swvl (vozick), Tuesday, 25 April 2006 18:54 (twenty years ago)

'I'll Be Ready' is the fatter, moustachioed sister of 'Call On Me', which isn't that much of a looker itself once you get past the augmented breasts, all over fake tan etc.
