Aphex Twin, Kate Bush and who else did use that quite amazing archaic instrument?

alex in mainhattan (alex63), Wednesday, 11 January 2006 21:25 (twenty years ago)

Rolf Harris.

Navek Rednam (Navek Rednam), Wednesday, 11 January 2006 21:27 (twenty years ago)

If I remember correctly, Aphex Twin's (wasn't it released under some other name?) "Didgeridoo" doesn't have an actual didgeridoo in it.

Tuomas (Tuomas), Wednesday, 11 January 2006 21:36 (twenty years ago)

who cares, tuomas? it sounds like an accelerated didgeridoo to my ears. the base must have been a didgeridoo.

I remember an Incubus song that had a digeridoo. Unfortunately.

Whiney G. Weingarten (whineyg), Thursday, 12 January 2006 15:18 (twenty years ago)

Keep this list going. It will be handy so I can AVOID EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM!

Brooker Buckingham (Brooker B), Thursday, 12 January 2006 16:02 (twenty years ago)

Craig Harris (no relation to Rolf)--albums Blackout in the Square Root of Soul; F-Stops. Maybe others. Harris is a trombonist who played with Sun Ra and Abdullah Ibrahim. Also plays didj.

J Arthur Rank (Quin Tillian), Thursday, 12 January 2006 21:04 (twenty years ago)

hate eternal use one on their last album. think it's turned up on a couple of other metal albums as an easily obtained ominous noise as well.
