What is the general opinion of Annie Gosfield? I have both of her albums out on Tzadik--"Burnt Ivory and Tangled Wires" and the "heavy machinery" one. I rather like her, but I want to hear some opinions.

i am looking forward to the experience of purposely de-tuned instruments playing in rhythm (this friday in santa fe). i hope it sounds like chaos set free, until it reaches the end of the leash. what do you suggest for a first time listener before the show?

also, all particles don't have to fall, if kept in an acclerator. energy is the key. ;)

Listening to Flying Sparks And Heavy Machinery (2001) for the first time, as I scan through my last.fm queue for last minute discount downloads. This is an outstanding album if you wish your early Einstürzende Neubauten/Test Dept. was more melodic.

There's more than a little Arnold Dreyblatt styled "Tom Waits does minimalism" in there, too. Smitten.
