Last record you heard containing a surprise

What was the last record you bought that contained a surprise - an unexpected break, instrument, sample, vocal etc rather than an obvious next move like ' lets bring it all down then build it up ' ?

This is not the last time and will also seem rather a perverse answer, but Daft Punk's "One More Time", where of course they bring it all down and build it back up. That I was anticipating, but the sheer length of the breakdown I wasn't.

Surprise is a really interesting concept in pop. For example I cant imagine actually being surprised by anything on a Kid606 record because of his reputation for doing odd and random things.

The new Mouse on Mars record Idology is packed with them. Track two starts out with this funky computerized shuffle, like a robot programmed to play mid-80s Prince, and then folds in a grand piano, strings and clarient, out of nowhere. COMPLETELY unexpected, the first time I heard it. There's loads of surprises on the record, more than any I can name recently.

I also am not sure anybody else should answer this thread, since those reading it will not, after reading, be surprised by the surprising things any more.
