Essex Green - beautiful country flavoured pop.
Masters of the Hemisphere - especially the first album. Can't comment on the new one yet though I'm looking forward to hearing it.
Dressy Bessy - Girly pop of the highest order with a 70. Also fantastic live. Pop with a smile. Which is nice.
I also like Richard Davies, some Ashley Park, though they were rather dull live recently, oh and Of Montreal are good too.
My flatmate is also a big admirer of I am the World...
And all this without mentioning the Call and Response album. Which is a blinder of sweet 70's tasting pop. Yummy. Probably was the album of last year for me.

But now they've allegedly changed their name back because of the public outcry.

I am the World Trade Center
11. September
Both Essex Green and Great Lakes are fab enjoyable pop, with relatively smaller amounts of the irritating side of E6 that, for example, the fucking horrible Of Montreal so frequently display.
I can't even BEGIN to tell you how much I despise Of Montreal. They could well be one of the worst bands ever to exist.
