NO WEEN NO CREDIBILITY

Rebirth, Radiohead, and Bill Frisell on the same bill are almost worth going for (not that I will).

Holy shit....what an unspecial lineup!

I know a bunch of people who've gone to every Bonnaroo. NOT ONE of them even pretends to go for the music. It's all about the hallucinogens. Also, naming your crappy jam band festival after the best (and maybe least jammy) Dr John record = dud.

adam (adam), Wednesday, 1 February 2006 01:29 (nineteen years ago)

that's the least jammy lineup to date, headliner-wise. i might be going to this, i have friends who go every year. we'll see. it would be the baby's first festival...

(although it's true there's almost no one on that list i want to see who i haven't already seen. malkmus, i guess.)

More interesting than the Coachella lineup, I'd say. Piecing together all the older acts would probably be fun: Elvis Costello, Steve Earle, Buddy Guy, Bill Frisell, Dr. John, Tom Petty and Bonnie Raitt.

Tell ya this: after a long day of outdoor music I'd rather hear Petty than Depeche Mode or Tool (at Coachella).
