i kinda dig it. more than the actual album even. the actual album is okay too when the band gets going, but Hnk3 isn't the grandest of songwriters around. i'm assuming he wrote most of them. but the waterfall/henhouse/sound fx/phone message disc is a hoot.

I love you, Scott.

Skrot, this has already been discussed some on the rolling 2005 country thread. I think I wrote something like ("not even as fun as Pig Destroyer," but you can check.) The first disc pretty much sucks.

dude, he chops and screws himself on this disc.

I think you just described the next Tool video.

i forget to check the country thread sometimes. i forget what country i'm in sometimes.

okay, so basically the only people who have heard this are the same 4 people on the country thread who hear everything like this. nevermind. keep an eye out when it hits the dollar binz though.

my fave sprawling hillbilly montage/concept piece would still have to be that album by the nitty gritty dirt band where the sing hey good lookin' (Hank!) with linda ronstadt. so, in a way, hank da 3 is just ripping them off! hank covers and the storm and rain sound effects! kinda like the mystic moods orchestra with extra bacongrease.

Yeah, that's right. Lucky us. But the chopped and screwed stuff -- it's brief -- isn't as good as Mr. Wonka!? And the songs are the same on the second disc -- they sound the same, at least one is the same -- as the first except you have to listen to all of it the way it's sliced or hit eject, which is what I did after awhile. Wretched. Don't care if he's a hillbilly outlaw, that shtick is awful without any tunes or riffs or anything except the nasal voice and the endless singing about gunnin' funnin' his lawyer shootin' shotgun drinkin' and his good friends in a Louisiana penitentiary (indeed).

I can't decide whether the title of this thread sounds more like a Bob Dylan number or a Forever Changes outtake.
