Douglas (Douglas), Saturday, 4 February 2006 08:50 (nineteen years ago)

I think you're going to have to start the numbering all over again now.

Austin Still (Austin, Still), Saturday, 4 February 2006 14:03 (nineteen years ago)

But wait--the first three Peter Gabriel albums were eponymous, and the fourth one was "Security," right?

It was called Security in the US, but everywhere else it was another self-titled album.

Deluxe (Damian), Saturday, 4 February 2006 14:51 (nineteen years ago)

Some people are streching the eponymousness a bit too far here.

Chairman Doinel (Charles McCain), Saturday, 4 February 2006 18:27 (nineteen years ago)

I thought one of the Royal Trux albums was eponymous and the other one was untitled. But I can never remember which is which!

Douglas (Douglas), Saturday, 4 February 2006 19:16 (nineteen years ago)

actually, those red house painters albums might just be untitled. come to think of it.

scott seward (scott seward), Saturday, 4 February 2006 19:35 (nineteen years ago)

The third Royal Trux album is the untitled album. But I'd argue it still qualifies -- every record guide I've seen lists the album with "Royal Trux" as a title. It's a hairsplit issue, I suppose.

However many number of Led Zeppelin albums that were actually eponymous even though everyone refers to them with roman numerals. ...14, 15, 16.

That would actually be just 14 & 15 for the second and third albums since the fourth album didn't have a name.

I also wouldn't count any album roman numeral since that gives the album a name other than its eponym, but I'm not going to argue about it.

Pleasant Plains /// (Pleasant Plains ///), Saturday, 4 February 2006 23:26 (nineteen years ago)

54-40 (this one with the green and grey cover was their second, I'm pretty sure, tho' the first in the US).
The Silos (their web site refers to it as "The one with the bird on the cover").
And Fleetwood Mac (first Buckingham/Nicks album, I can't believe I'm the first for this one).
