I like it. but is this something to do with ketamine?

ketamine doesn't just slow down black Americans, you know. it slows down everyone.

i heard this today in "can't be beat" by the quiet village project (not minimal techno but still dance) and it was amazing. i can't understand what it is that can't be beat but it sounds like something awesome.

Haha OTM. Hey, what does this question ask about who C/D?

actually maybe I'm just after recommendations. things like the track on transition where the guy is all about coming over to do yoga or Medusa Smile by Konrad Black.

pitched down vocals = classic, in general. see also Hawtins DE9 Transitions mix or the last Plastikman album, and the track "Boucle" off Luciano Live @ Weetamix

(im not sure though if any of those voclas are from blacks, or americans, and in the case of Boucle its so slowed down it might as well be a belching rhino drowning in tar)

i prefer the vox pitched up meself

once i get my new laptop i am totally working on a "dexter"/"still tippin" mash-up

the vocals in john tejada's "deep in the funk", i think the vocal sample is pitched down a little, and it's most probably from an american (not sure about his skin though)
but
when i play it at 33 1/3 instead of 45, i'm totally charmed - sounds really great, the whole track & the vocals. the ultimate ketamine stuff!

On quite a few wighnomy brothers sets they seem to do this. The example that comes to mind for me is Maurizio's M5 with the vocals from Akabu's 'Ride The Storm' over the top. Although they didn't slow the vocals down too much on that one.

I like it generally. It brings a human feel but also weird and alien at the same time..
