So Greensleeves launched this, along with the usual "Biggest Ragga Dancehall Anthems" package. 2CD's, features Buju Banton, Sizzla, Gentleman, etc. I'll admit that I don't really know what they mean by the title (neither allmusic nor amazon have an explanation), but at first listen it sounds like mostly rootsy, poppy Reggae. At the risk of coming across a bit dadrock, I'm enjoying it a lot more than the dancehall anthems.

"One-drop" is the roots-reggae drumbeat from around the turn of the '70s that came back in fashion in Jamaica last year.

I like the rootsy hallmarks, but the production was really glossy and a turn-off. There's a free 28-minute Silver Star mix of some of the tracks. [here]

I thought it was excellent (I also thought the Biggest Ragga Dancehall Anthems for this year was quite good, a real return to form after a weak-ish one last year and two hit-or-miss RRR!s.)
