m coleman (lovebug starski), Monday, 6 February 2006 14:28 (nineteen years ago)

Strange time of year to be thinking about it, but there's nothing like some good "fall" music.

Album: Centipede - Septober Energy. Mainly for the more quiet & autumnal passages, and because I'd need a big, dense double album out on that lonely island.

Songs:
1. Kinks - "Autumn Almanac". For every obvious reason.
2. Dream Syndicate - "Halloween". An inspired-by-cinema song that really makes it.
3. Chet Baker - "Autumn Leaves". Dude was the living embodiment of a long, long late September sunset.

stephen, Monday, 11 August 2008 01:16 (seventeen years ago)

I've heard four Fall songs in my life: "Middle Mass," "Stephen Song," "Green Eyed Loco Man," and "We Are Sparta FC." None make me want to investigate any further.

Uh, Ramz...there's this band called The Fall, you see...not sure if you're wilfully trying to change the theme here, but if so, I fully understand how it could happen given the thread title.

Bimble, Wednesday, 13 August 2008 21:33 (seventeen years ago)

Mark G, Wednesday, 13 August 2008 22:16 (seventeen years ago)

If we're not allowed comp.s, am I allowed to specify that I want the double CD version of Live At The Witch Trials so that I get Bingo Master's Breakout / Psych Mafia / Repetition and It's The New Thing ? Various Times included?

If so then that one aa-aa-and-uh:
Rowche Rumble
Fiery Jack
C.R.E.E.P.

Stewart Osborne, Thursday, 14 August 2008 10:55 (seventeen years ago)

Haha, good point Stewart! I always tend to think of my U.S. vinyl copy of Live At The Witch Trials, which thankfully tacked on Various Times.
