Seeking a musical gem for my journey to work: what can I get that's not what I might have thought about getting, that I'd be pleased I got

I like all sorts of music and this is reflected in my pretty large collection. Johnny Hartman, L. Armstrong, Soft Cell, Bing Crosby, Hefner, Abba, Biff Rose, Ivor Cutler, Debussy, Rachmanivov, NWA, Hank Williams, OMD, Homosexuals, Desert Wolves, Orange Juice, Plone, Roxy Music. Well, for the next couple of weeks I've got a long car commute, and so would like to get something new and exciting, and was wondering if anyone here would recommend me something.

Sorry, you mentioned Johnny Hartman. Get *more* jazz. Sonny Sharrock's "Ask the Ages." Charles Mingus' "Oh Yeah."
