I'm going to see Mick Jones's post-Clash band Big Audio Dynamite in oxford tonite. Prior to seeing the posters for the gig, I'd assumed the band had split up about eight years ago!
It might be Mick Jones with a new line-up. It might be other band members without Mick Jones. I'll let you know.......

but anyway, have you been to any gigs by old or reformed bands and were they any cop?

Saw Bauhaus a few years back - dull.

On the other hand, the Pretenders are still good & their lineup has changed frequently.

The Bay City Rollers with only Eric Faulkner. They did bad metal versions of the hits. Quite fun!

The New Sweet - only Brian Connolly from the original band. He was about 18 stone and couldn't sing.

My mate IW saw the Crispy Ambulance comeback gig last year, or was it 2000? He also saw The Prefects (Robert Lloyd pre Nightingales band) at the tail-end of last year.

Great just as I expected: Mission of Burma early this year.

Way, way, WAY better than I expected: Bow Wow Wow a couple of years ago. I went with a friend who had seen them the first time around, who said "they're a lot better now!"

Saw a Sugarhill gang performance a few years ago, and it was hilarious. They broke into Rappers delight at least 4 times in a set clocking in at 45mins tops. As the evening progressed, several audience members realized that Master G was an impostor! It ended up with a group of angry guys outside the club encircling the 'fake Master G' and taunting him, his entourage trying to defend him, etc. most ridiculous

sonic boom with come collection of outpatients, dreadful. he needs to have his head inflated, a head that small can't be healthy, he's certainly at higher risk for alzheimers. better stock up on the turmeric.
