Of all the American city-of-origin-named bands, Black Oak Arkansas is the best because they were actually from Black Oak, AK - the only band (that I know of) to honour both city AND state in their name.

Also, they never made any recordings, but I gotta mention Owen Sound, from the same-named Ontario town where they formed, and where I myself was born. Beautiful Owen Sound, Ontario, otherwise known as "the elephant's asshole". (Har har har...that's a joke that maybe 1 or 2 of you will understand! And it IS just a joke and completely untrue: Owen Sound truly is a beautiful town.)
