Well, I've never dug Curve in the least, but that rest of that list is pretty dang great.

Not bad.

i'm not sure if it's at all EB games stores, but this one was having a "CD blowout sale". all cd's were a buck.

Not bad to find those in the one place and definitely VFM. There are far better albums by all these acts though (and in the case of The Fall, at least 25 better albums although both these have great moments). my guess is that someone with a decent record collection was behind with the rent and cherry picked a few albums he hasn't listened to for a while and that he thought he could, maybe, live without. Done it myself. Wouldn't be getting rid of the Aaliyah one though. Pick of the bunch I'd say.

They'll make a lovely mobile.

yeah, there are many better fall albums, but these are pretty damn good. the only thing i don't like is the curve album. it's too...well, let's just say it makes me feel like i'm watching "hackers". the aaliyah is kind of shitty too, but it's not terrible.

My son just dragged me to a Houston EB. Here's what I got, also for a buck apiece:

Sam Phillips, Martinis & Bikinis
Nellie McKay, Get Away from me
Austin Powers s/t
Uptown Ruling: The Best of the Neville Bros
The John Anderson Anthology
Kelly Willis, What I Deserve
Mavericks, What A Crying Shame
Epiphany: The Best of Chaka Khan
Roberta Flack Featuring Donny Hathaway
Everclear: Songs from an American Movie, Vol 1

I just went to EB games and found absolutely NOTHING. I saw the 99 cents sale but there was nothing I would have even taken for free.

I have found Venetian Snares, Mum, Naked City, etc. in the same store before, though.

I left the cupboard pretty bare at the one in Houston. There were two copies of Clay Aiken remainining.
