Byfleet is a village and suburb of Woking in Surrey, England. It is in the east of the borough between the River Wey and the River Mole, and is on the inside of the M25 motorway. It is served by Byfleet and New Haw railway station

Byfleet constitutes a civil parish and so has a parish council. The current parish was formed in 1989 [1].

In May 2003, a group standing under an "Abolish Byfleet Parish Council" banner won election to the Parish Council and proceeded to seek its abolition. [2]

In June 2005 The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister refused to abolish the parish, despite its request. [3].

as far as US goes, i wish it were Mpls again (or some other stark northernish isolated city)...as fucking horrible as i think that place is, it has produced some great music.
