Just finished writing a review on this, and I'm wondering what other people think. I haven't heard anything from anyone.

Me? I like it. I mean, it's hard to argue with a zombie who was killed in a car crash.

Let the references flow ... JG Ballard, Swayzak, Rubicon, Franz and Shape, Kraftwerk ... ah.

But word murder it's got very much its own sound, and the whole thing about driving at night as a ghost works so well - anti-car hipsters can eat razors and rot slow on this one - music that transports you to a time when the city lights + the dark seemed so slick and expansive from your parents' car, or your old dead self's car if applicable, oh it's awesome, and nobody gets to claim 'eighties baby' if they are not able to identify and enjoy this particular set of emotional triggers. "Oh gawwwsh I'd never drive I Lamborghini, I'd crash the thing!" Of course you wouldn't you fucking pussy...you don't care abt the environment either you're just uncoordinated as hell which is why you hate sports too butterfingers

Remember in Gr. 9 volleyball when the volleyball broke your watch strap and it totally traumatized you? Can you forget about that for one bloody week and listen to Kavinsky despite his image of him wearing his own varsity jacket? Hey, do me a favore.

Kavinsky leaves hilarious and frequent image comments on Myspace too, like all the other cool French dudes, and unlike the US/British 'elite' myspacers who get all annoyed when ppl have auto-play songs and have the 'must have last name to add' when their last name is included in their permanent fucking URL. Hhahaa wow yr really 'rollin stealth' huh? Oh but canada doesn't get off the hook either...North and I have some local kids who basically stalk our profiles and build their personas off them...it's really cute.

I fucking love this, except oddly enough the Mr Oizo remix. The image is great, too, it looks almost like Michael Allred's style.

Huh, so his album came out this year; hadn't heard a breath about it until I saw it on Whiney's EOY list. #2 on the French charts!

Also, had never heard Kano's "Ikeya Seki" before and when that riff comes in at 2:16, whoa.

Not sure about a bunch of the vocals on the Kavinsky album.
