Who else is going to be there?!

Who else thinks there should be a place where ILM people meet up?!

I'm so into this.

Last year, I went for one day. I saw Matthew Dear, Tiefschwarz, Mylo, Tiga, James Murphy, MU, and a few other people. After leaving the club at 6am, I went back to South Beach and had breakfast at some place on the beach.

Then I went for a walk and met some amazing people alongside the surf.

Stories?! Upcoming events?!

I live in miami - and honestly, WMC is ok if you like drugs and djs - but if you like anything with the human voice or god forbid played with an instrument - it's weak save for a few events, like the Kool Keith gig we played last year.

I have heard that a lot of good dj's music groups will be in Miami. And for these events, maybe there won't be live bands playing, but you will at least get to hear a wide range of great tunes/remixes that you would have trouble finding by listening to every indie group in his extistentialist 20's. Any info on where Ed Banger will hold their party, or James Murphy? i'm not going, and part of the reason why is because i don't want to make a special trip to florida to see djs i can see here. every single one of those M3/WMC acts either plays new york regularly, or will play new york over the months of march and april. i don't think mathew jonson has a new york gig scheduled around the time of WMC yet (please play new york mr jonson!!) but pretty much everyone else on the bill does. it was recently announced that jeff mills is playing new york on april 29...granted he's going to be playing at that horrid new club, pacha, but it will be awesome nonetheless. sadly i'll be out of town then (argh!!) because i'll be in seattle at the pop music conference.

I know this is off topic but me and my girlfriend are going to NY (we live in the uk) from april 26 to 1st march. Was wonderin if you could recommend anywhere i could look up listings of people playing durin that time or suggest any nites we should check out? More into James Murphy and Ed banger type stuff than Jeff Mills although Jeff Mills is tempting.

I am for sure going to Fischerspooner and DJ Hell at Mansion on Tuesday, Justice at Studio A on Friday and the Sunday School at Pawn Shop to see Ellen Allien. Other than that I'm still deciding. Anyone going? What shows should I definitely NOT miss?
