and by the way the linn 9000 was used way before "I wanna dance with somebody" by whitney houston. The linn 9000 was released in 1984.

i can tell you the residents were the first to use an emulator on a record - and tainted love by soft cell featured the 6th synclavier off production.

actually Soft Cell "Tainted Love" used a moog not a synclavier. Synclaviers were expensive about 10,000$$ a piece. I think michael jackson was the first to use it.
