Jackopierce!

I went to the University of Oklahoma and these bozos played at least once a month. They sucked to atmospheric proportions, but their shows were a great place to meet girls.

I worked for a concert booking company that did a show of theirs. Decent crowd at a venue that was off-the-beaten a bit in the Raleighwood area of NC. Nice guys if memory serves. Don't recall a bit about their music, tho.

I own two Jackopierce records. Kill me now.

i think i inadvertently sent my brother headlong into liking shit like this when he was a fratboy at SMU, mainly by traumatising him with stuff like psychocandy, as i was the older brother who determined what we would listen to in the car on the way to high school, back just before this period. i remember psychocandy just really driving him over the edge one morning. i think he also got into phish just to go all the way with it.
we still agree on almost all hip hop (and old country etc.) tho. and i mean great guy otherwise haha.

One of their shows at Texas Tech was cut noticably short. Speculation was - gasp - drug use on the part of one or both members. I remember feeling cheated.
