looper question

hey so i heard about this guy from concord, california who sells custom loopers, but i can't recall the name of his product, thus i'm unable to find him online. do any of you know of this guy?

or... i'm wanting to be able to plug my guitar into something to loop sound over and over and over again to be able to play over a huge wall of noise. and i'm guessing that a looper would help me to create this, not having a "band" and all and wanting to do it on my own for recording purposes...
any ideas on acquiring a looper? a good one that isn't too expensive? preferably custom built by some ultra perfectionistic music geek. thanks!

you can use a boomerang pedal for this, about $400.
