records you, inexplicably, associate with each other

are there any albums that you see parallels between, despite the fact that they would appear wildly different to most?

are there any hugely different records that, for some reason, you appreciate on the same level, or get exactly the same mood from?

i will toss out a couple of my own:

bone thugs 'n' harmony "e1999 eternal" = mercury rev "deserters songs"

aphex twin "selected ambient works vol.2" = dmx "flesh of my flesh, blood of my blood"

if i wanted to listen to one of these records, but a copy was not available to me, its "partner" record would make an ideal substitute, for reasons i cannot quite place.

Les Savy Fav Go Forth = Boyz II Men Greatest Hits
This is a common Friday night trend; ecstatic to nostalgia

"Loveless" and "Bandwagonesque"

Bought them on the same day, played them pretty much one after the other during long car journeys.

Nirvana Nevermind and Red Hot Chilli Peppers Blood Sugar Sex Magik. Like Mark, bought them on the same day, played them in tandem. Weirds me out though, since they seem to be from completely different universes.
