oh, and i liked it. that song ends my favorite movie, over the edge, so i like when it ends things.

They do have very similar voices!

I once described Cat as being Beth Orton singing the PJ Harvey songbook.

Yet, Chan is not from Norfolk, amirite?

beth also has health problems.

The Man Without Shadow (Enrique), Wednesday, 8 March 2006 14:43 (nineteen years ago)

Yeah, same as what I had, back in the day. Which is bizarre..

mark grout (mark grout), Wednesday, 8 March 2006 14:45 (nineteen years ago)

you were a heroin addict?

The Man Without Shadow (Enrique), Wednesday, 8 March 2006 14:46 (nineteen years ago)

ah, no.

?

that show really was nutz. i don't know what to think of it. i should hate it, but it's so strange and i do love mamet. when the one army wife is trying to calm the other army wife down and gives her this long speech about why they have to be strong and then ends it with something like: "This is the history of the world." and soooooooo deadpan. uber-patriots are gonna love it. what is he thinking???

scott seward (scott seward), Wednesday, 8 March 2006 15:33 (nineteen years ago)

beth is a heroin addict? or cat?

beth has crohn's disease, which, as far as I know, you don't get over.

You sort of do if it's operated on.

Well, blah blah blah. etc.

mark grout (mark grout), Wednesday, 8 March 2006 16:12 (nineteen years ago)

Oh, Mit, did you get that track? What you think?

mark grout (mark grout), Wednesday, 8 March 2006 16:13 (nineteen years ago)

I'm kinda pissed I missed this show. I love Mamet, and The Shield (created by Mamet's co-worker on this thing, Shawn Ryan) is my favorite show since Homicide went off the air. But I thought it was premiering next week. Oh, well.

pdf (Phil Freeman), Wednesday, 8 March 2006 16:15 (nineteen years ago)

they might show it again. who knows? yeah, the shield is great. i haven't watched it in a while though. i haven't seen forest whitaker on there yet.

scott seward (scott seward), Wednesday, 8 March 2006 16:30 (nineteen years ago)

i need to do the whole dvd full-season thing with the shield. that's probably how lotsa people catch up with it.

scott seward (scott seward), Wednesday, 8 March 2006 16:30 (nineteen years ago)

xpost to mark g.

Yes, Mark, I did, thanks! (I meant to write back, sorry.) Good stuff but not stirring like the best songs on the album.
