I am doing a radio show which goes out tonight!

This will be a regular occurrence but hopefully is at a more regular time GMT soon, I'm still learning the controls, also it's in Irish so my language skills needed a bit of refreshment.

Anyway you can listen at 1.30am GMT tonight (Saturday morning), here http://homepages.iol.ie/~rnl102/fuaim.html.

I will post the tracklist in a minute, cos I am prerecording it this afternoon and so usually decide beforehand.

ambrose (ambrose), Thursday, 16 March 2006 12:10 (twenty years ago)

Yummie (although I only know 2 tracks...it's a given the rest will rule.)

Omar (Omar), Thursday, 16 March 2006 12:11 (twenty years ago)

I've been doing a dance show for nine years and I'm being axed this coming September. Enjoy it while u can @ http://3voor12.vpro.nl/bpm. (Tracklistings given for every show, as are RealAudio links.)

JoB (JoB), Thursday, 16 March 2006 12:46 (twenty years ago)

"French Fries" is monster, btw.

JoB (JoB), Thursday, 16 March 2006 12:47 (twenty years ago)

Argh, I will miss this but would love it if someone could record the thing for me.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 16 March 2006 13:29 (twenty years ago)

Shit, hang on, it's Friday night/Saturday morning.

Apologies I recorded it today cos tomorrow is a bank holiday here, and hence I thought today was Friday.

I made a few mistakes today, the first time I asked anyone to listen! The CD-J at the studio has no jogwheel, so mixing on it is pretty tricky (I now know). But yeah other than that it went well.

Plus don't fret Matt, soon I'll be recording every one as a podcast type thing.

Ronan (Ronan), Thursday, 16 March 2006 18:24 (twenty years ago)

I love that Pig & Dan track.

jergins (jergins), Thursday, 16 March 2006 18:49 (twenty years ago)

Hit me up when your show's offline JoB, maybe we can sort something out over here at Basic.ch

blunt (blunt), Thursday, 16 March 2006 18:58 (twenty years ago)

nice tracklisting! you are really feelin the MBF/traum axis too, yeah? so much good stuff at the moment! i went on a mad downloading spree of new MBF/traum/trapez tracks this morning. that lars wickinger dude is mad--his 'blutrausch' (what a title!) 12" has an angry dog with big fangs on the cover!

and the daso remix is great--more fun than the andre kraml one (which i also like, but for different reasons.)

not sure how i feel about the eulberg/ananda collab but i feel like in the right DJ's hands (i.e., you), it could be awesome. that 'schierker kreisel' track is 10 minutes long and has good ideas in it, but i think it would be better edited down to six...it's definitely the winner on that 12" though (the a-side isn't nearly as good!)

geeta (geeta), Thursday, 16 March 2006 19:03 (twenty years ago)

not sure how i feel about the eulberg/ananda collab

OMG i know what i feel about this! its the perfect alchemy! sexy swinging crazy steekl drum mania!!!!! OMG thats such a lame thing to say but i fucken dig it so much!!!

ambrose (ambrose), Thursday, 16 March 2006 19:48 (twenty years ago)

hahaha i love you ambrose. i'll listen to it again.

geeta (geeta), Thursday, 16 March 2006 19:50 (twenty years ago)

please please please

listening again and.........

forgot that the other side is blissfull rolling sugar too!

what a great ep. this is momentous dance music to me, this is it, this is what i want. i want that bassline to eat me, whilst i am distracted from my own demise by the tickling twiddles and steel drums

note for editors: im off the beer tonight and yet....

ambrose (ambrose), Thursday, 16 March 2006 22:07 (twenty years ago)

I played about 5 minutes of it.

It's all good though.

Traum/MBF/Trapez surprisingly hot again the last few releases.

The Eulberg/Ananda release is kind of insane, they really just go with it, forget the floor, and yet it still is a good club tune.

Ronan (Ronan), Friday, 17 March 2006 06:51 (twenty years ago)

Looks like a really great tracklist. Turn it into a podcast please?

rchinn (rchinn), Friday, 17 March 2006 10:57 (twenty years ago)

ok i dont know anything about djing or anything, but that sounds like a pure dancefloor tune to me! the breakdowns or those little drum fills that i cant descirbwe where ti stops and then comes in again, the sweep of the melody...i would kill to hear that on a dancefloor

ambrose (ambrose), Friday, 17 March 2006 12:41 (twenty years ago)

yeah it is, I just mean it's a bit unorthodox I guess, it takes so many twists and turns. it would definitely work I agree.

Ronan (Ronan), Friday, 17 March 2006 18:25 (twenty years ago)

i'm with Geeta on the Eulberg/Ananda 12". glad i'm not alone! hah.

Cameron Octigan (Cameron Octigan), Friday, 17 March 2006 18:32 (twenty years ago)

hey ronan is this available online anywhere? i was at optimo when this was on

er sorry to labour a point but i feel like the harzer roller is the most orthodox tune eulberg has done! or at least, its pretty predictable compared to the (overly?) complex/changeable nature of his other output

ambrose (ambrose), Monday, 20 March 2006 10:38 (twenty years ago)

The remix of Dirt Crew's "Largo" is more straightforward than "Harzer Roller". So is Eulberg's remix of Le Dust Sucker's "Mean Boy", which is also still the first thing he's done, I think.

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Monday, 20 March 2006 11:01 (twenty years ago)

Everytime I see this thread title I think it's going to be a series of profiles.

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Monday, 20 March 2006 11:04 (twenty years ago)

yes as I named it I thought it would be a good TV series

Ronan (Ronan), Monday, 20 March 2006 11:15 (twenty years ago)

A daytime one where Vahid's evil twin brother books Tiefschwarz to play at his wedding to Derrick Carter

Ronan (Ronan), Monday, 20 March 2006 11:16 (twenty years ago)

"Like plip-plops through a Hawtin track, so are the days of our lives..."

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Tuesday, 21 March 2006 00:15 (twenty years ago)

ronan i can host this as a podcast, send me some mails

harshaw (jube), Tuesday, 21 March 2006 01:26 (twenty years ago)

that would be cool. I am getting like the first 3 as mp3s on Monday or Tuesday.

Meanwhile, tonight (Saturday morning) at 1.30am GMT, the below show shall be broadcast.

Tensnake-Around The House (Mirau)
Aural Distortion-Aural Distortion (Anja Schneider Mix) (Tsuba)

Gui Boratto-Sozinho

Akabu-Future Bound (Ame Remix)-ZR Records

Ronan (Ronan), Friday, 31 March 2006 14:59 (twenty years ago)

Also I really should ask a mod to let me change the title of this thread so people might know what it is.
