My folks are coming down to London in a few weeks to see that Billy Joel musical. There's also obviously that Queen musical based around the songs.

Name some plots and titles for some other musicals based around bands you'd like to see instead...

'Planet of Sound', an alien abduction fantasy written, directed and produced by Black Francis, starring Black Francis, with cameos by the rest of the Pixies. Following our heroes' abduction, the aliens perform hideous experiments on Black Francis that leave him hairless and bloated. Rumours of experimentation on Kim Deal arise when she is found to have numerous needle marks in her arm. The rest of the band eventually escape, and it takes Black Francis another 13 years to convince them to come back and rescue him.

I'm still waiting for Hatful!, which sounds about a hundred times better than the actual smiths musical.

A mime version of The Download Spiral.

(if only because I want to see how a mime would reenact lines like "I want to f*ck you like an animal," "i hurt myself today to see if I still feel," "he couldn't believe how easy it was - he put the gun into his face - bang! - (so much blood from such a tiny little hole)" and so on)
