"Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders told the sold-out crowd at Irving Plaza Saturday night that "this is probably the last time you'll see us play." Daily News' critic Jim Farber, who called the set "one of the best shows I've ever seen," says fans gasped. Hynde's rep had no comment on the band's future."
Hasn't she said that before? I got to see her at SXSW and it was a pretty stunning set--for a band that never seemed to kill live.
