Alanis Morissette, is in my mind, so over inflated with herself that I turn on the news and expect to hear that her head has exploded. I wonder how long did it took Alanis and her team of market experts to come up with one of the most contrived album(CD) titles in the history of over-sized egos? Does any one else wonder the same thing? Does any one really consider her an artist? Should she be "Swept Under Rug"?

I never liked her before, either, but the "Hands Clean" video did remind me of an old rule I had: the Manufacturing Video Rule. It's simple: anyone who makes a video depicting--non-ironically, though even some ironists get nailed by it too--the conception, recording and manufacture of the song at hand has automatically lost touch with, in order, their fans, themselves and reality. I seem to recall an old Soul Asylum vid off Let Your Dim Light Shine entirely made up of shots of factory machinery making...copies of Soul Asylum's Let Your Dim Light Shine. As Douglas likes to put it, Bzzzt.

If by "super hot sexy" you mean "even more godawful ugly" then yes. She reminds me of this girl Mishy we know who has a bit of an upper lip issue and wears grotty clothing, and hates me probably because she's aware that all I do is stare at that upper lip.
