new Adem album this month

Looking back over old threads I can't find much love for Adem, but 'Homesongs' is one of the loveliest records of recent years. Maybe he suffers from the dreaded folktronica tag, through association with Four Tet. He's not really folky, although he sometimes reminds me a bit of Donovan.

Anyway, does anyone share my anticipation?

I share your anticipation!

I consider Homesongs a modern day classic, and Love And Other Planets is already at the top of my favorites of 2006. It's fantastic.

And Adem let us play his melodica at a Fridge show. Good guy that.

I thought his last album was quite nice...definitely one of the better releases from that year....I'm always surprised more of the "kids" haven't gotten into it.

Yes, equally excited.....now, if there would just be a new fridge album to look forward to....

I'm looking forward to this. "Homesongs" grew on me immensely after repeat listen, which shocked the hell out of me because it's not the type of record I normally get into.

I spoke to Adem this time last year at the Fence Homegame and he said that they were working on a Fridge record, but i think that's been ongoing for a while.

Anyway, i love "Homesongs", looking forward to the new record and hoping to go see him in Striling next month.

Homesongs is a wonderful morning album. When exactly does this new one drop? Any collabos?

i never heard the previous stuff, but the new album is gorgeous.
not so much electronica/folktronica based, just very very laid back and beautiful.
