Absolute and total crap. YUUUCCCKKK. Self-indulgence without even a clue about the point of music. It's 90% masturbation, 5% acknowledgement of music geeks, and in the rest of the 5%, consideration of some kinda message, blissful spaces between songs on the cd, and melody.

I think they're great. There's a great fun energy on this disc, almost like all these NYC jazz guys can't believe they're actually getting to make this record and put it out on a major label.

Of course, it doesn't hurt that I'm a drum geek and Jo Jo Mayer happens to be unbelievably good.
