"Here up for bid is a 500+ lot dates from what I have seen are 40's-80's. Today
for the first time in a long time I actually got the chance to go to some yard sales.
I came across this estate sale where the owner of the house had passed on and the
daughter-in-law was selling his possesions. After looking through things I seen
a bunch of 45's stacked in the corner of the garage and asked her if they were for
sale. By the time it was all said and done, I ended up buying them all, among a
few other things. When I set out today, I made up my mind that I would not buy
any records today, but as the ol' saying goes...Never say never! And good deals
are hard to come by. My problem is that I am not sure what has gotten into me lately,
but the thought of going through 500 45's does not seem as interesting as it use
to be. I just spent the last 4 days working on putting together the lots that you
see listed. Very nice lots I might add! Anyways! this is what I am going to do.
I am not going through these at all. And I am putting them up for bid as I got
them. So these will be sold-is. I did skim through some of them while I was in
the garage, so I can tell you this much! I probably seen at least 15 Beatles on
Capitol, Rolling Stones, Ricky Nelson, The Jaynetts, The Quin-tones that really
captured my attention because of the color of the label on I think Hunt records.
There were allot of labels that were unusual, like Yes records, and Rust records.
Thats all I really remember, and made up my mind that I could not pass them up.

I have no intentions of going through these at all. So as far as giving you anymore
information, thats all I have to give.

So here's the deal? You will be bidding on approximately 500+ records, maybe 600
or more not quite sure. These are in boxes that Sierra Nevada beer bottled 12 packs
originally came into and are taped up. There is 6 Sierra Nevada boxes filled with
45's. Whoever collected these records drank allot of Sierra Nevada beer, because
those boxes were everywhere. Infacted the only reason that those records had not
been bought until I discovered them is because I made a comment about somebody sure
having good taste in beer. And she said yes! But there is no beer in those boxes
now, they are filled with records, my father in law loved his beer, and always came
out here to play around in the garage while drinking. So! as you can see! I was
in the right place, at the right time, and commented on something that brought me
to purchase all of these records. So! Here's your opportunity to take advantage,
or not. You could have some good ones in there, then again you might not. Based
on what I have seen, I would say that your chances are pretty good, but I would
cannot guarentee you anything. Looking through the holes of the boxes, I do know
that you have 45's. What shape and who they are I really don't know. I did open
one box at the sale and that is the box that contained what I meantion above, that
captured my eye. So take your chances! Go by gut instinct on this. The only person
that will know whats truely in those boxes will be the winner of this lot. Remember
that you are bidding on as-is no refunds, and if you do get some that are really
good please don't tell me O.K. What I don't know, will not hurt me. It would be
best that I don't know. Happy Bidding!!! Curious to see just how many gamblers
exists in the world of records.....

"No Reserve'

Bidding starts at 1cent

On Dec-13-05 at 17:39:42 PST, seller added the following information:

Hi Everyone! Have to revise the lot for a few reasons! One good reason is.......Before
I left this estate sale. I wrote down my phone number and name, and told her that
since I bought all the records that she and I knew about at that time, that if she
should come across some more I would not only be interested, but would appreciate
a call. "So" guess what happened to me on Monday morning? "Thats
Right" In my wildest dreams, I got a phone call telling me that she found another
box of "Sierra Nevada's. It was a line that I came up with at the sale that
kind of fit the occasion. When she called that morning she left the message stating:
Hi, Joanne its the lady that you bought all the records from and you asked me to
call if I found anymore "Sierra Nevada's, well I did and if you still are interested
in getting them, give me a call. And the story goes on. I did, I got, and you
now have to adjust your shipping. Which brings me to another problem that I have
been racking my brain over since I made this mystery lot listing. How exactly did
I plan on shipping these boxes? This was a thought! That I should of thought of
before making this listing. But Hey!! Although I am female, which I do not use
as an excuse. And my hair color has nothing to do with the subject what so ever,
so don't even try that one. "I feel that the best way to ship these boxes,
without opening them would be to pack them into a bigger box by two's. I know its
a going to be scary shipping these in the Sierra Nevada boxes that they were placed
in. But this is the way that they have to go without knowing whats in them. The
excitement of them being a mystery is one thing. But if you think that I could
actually open these boxes to transfer them into a secure way to ship, you must be
out of your mind, thinking that I would not look, will not happen. The only reason
that I am capable to sell this lot as it is without looking is basically two reasons.
One, I'm not a collector myself, and two I just absolutely get a natural high off
the unknown. And from the looks of it, I'm not the only one that thrives on "The
not knowing zone" I went and bought a ready post box from the post office size
20"X14"X10" and two of the Nevada boxes fit nicely in that box.
Think it will work out just fine in shipping. So! you are looking at 3 boxes the
size of 20X14X10 containing two Nevada boxes in each larger size box. Which in the
united states media is the way to go. As far as Canada goes! You are looking at
approximately 48-50 dollars per box which is 3X because of the three boxes, and
lets not forget about the box that got overlooked. That box I will wrap up with
brown paper and ship it with the larger boxes. " Now", are you ready to
her what else that I realized after the facted of the listing. I took my records
that I have and stacked them up beside the Nevada boxes just to get an idea of how
many records might be in each box. To my amazement those Nevada Boxes hold more
than I antipated. Under-estimating them they will easily hold 135-150 45's. So
sorry about the calculation of the lot, we are not looking at 500+ its more like
700+. Its not something that anyone purchasing this lot would actually complain
about. That would be the day that someone actually put a dispute in saying "Hey"
I got more records than I was suppose to get. I think that we would all agree in
saying Hey, By all means, send them back, and even I would volunteer paying for
the shipping on that. "That'll be the day to remember" Now theres something
that I feel that you should know about me. Up to now I did not feel it was important
to tell you. After all, from the looks of things I buy and I sell records. This
is a true statement, by every means. But what you might find interesting is that
although I buy and sell records, I'm not only new in pursuing this avenue of adventure,
but I am not a collector myself. Because of my background in antiques, I will admit
that I am partial to anything that is dated in 1960's and below. You have to be
pretty well known to catch my eye, if your label falls in the 70's and if you have
a bar code on your label, forget it. I don't care who you are! Or how much you are
worth, you are not worth my time or effort, because I cannot see beyond that bar
code. In my opinion the so called n'genius that decided to add that feature on
a 45 muchless any other label had to be@#$@# well.Lets just say having a real bad
hair month, and will to try anything to get rid of his real color. Because he forgot
what the real color was. If you are still reading this, than I feel that I have
your attention! So lets put it to good use. Its funny when I think back when I
first started this adventure of buying and selling records. Which to be honest,
was less than a year ago, so I don't have to strain myself to remember back too
far. Two things stand out in my mind. They propbably will remain implanted in
my memory, until I don't have a memory to retain it in. The first thing that captured
my attention was the knowledge. What I mean by this is simply, that coming from
the world of antiquities, knowledge was something that you gained, don't get me
wrong. The more knowledge you could have, gave you an upper edge sort of speak.
Never, and I mean, never was any knowledge ever displayed on an open subject about
anything, especially if it was something that would cost you $$$'s or take from
you without having to reasearch endless hours on. I myself, always thought this
was the wrong way of looking at it. And laughed at listening a bunch of elite yuppies
that were first off (old). But thought that a good day was spent in a bunch of
collectables shops looking for a sleeper that was most likely on a back shelf that
you would never get the opportunity to purchase anyway. During this time, I was
not even close to being old. And I have to say that my youth in that era of time
did have allot of advantages, and brought me some excellant deals, at the timeduring
that time. Two things that were obvious to me from the get-go. One was that for
some reason you had to be old in order to be any sort of a dealer. I was young,
and boy did that have its advantages. The second was that I did not have a lazy
bone in my body, therefore my energy made a path that would absolutely shock you
in buys that I was able to achieve, what my youth did not already win. And now
here I am pounding a path in selling records. My opinion, I have never in my life
meet a nicer group of people that all are out to achieve there own taste in life.
And the knowledge! The knowledge is fanominal on being handed out on a silver platter,
wanted or not. You got it you give it, and so let it be said and let it be written.
Quite the opposite world that I came from, but hey, got to say that I have gained
more knowledge through your wisdom, than I could ever achieve from a book. I liked
it so much, I opened my doors wide open and invited you in. Now, that I am considered
older, tomarrows my birthday the 14th and proud to be an american Sagitarius,
and I really don't feel that old. I'm not as fast as I use to be, but I decided
to slow down along time ago. I was raised from the old school, and prefer to reside
there. I also feel that age does not become wisdom. Just because you get older,
does not mean that you become wiser. Hang with me here, because I am about to tell
you one more thing that brings the two in completely opposite directions.

Although all the dealers would not display there knowledge on what took them years
to find out. (Talking amongs themselves is what they did most) They had no problem
giving knowledge on how to clean, repair, restore, cain, apolstery, weave, stain,
etc. Knowledge on that subject was plentiful, and no doubt in abundance, wanted
or not. Although they did not have the time nor the energy, to do it themselves
anymore, did not mean that they did not have the wisdom behind it., and most found
the energy to stand behind you with detailed instructions. Because of the environment
that I was raised in, I had no doubt in how to clean, refinish, stain, apolstery,
paint, electrical, you name it, and I still to this day, not only know how to do
it, but still young enough to do it, in my book

In the beginning of my record adventure, I did allot of research. One of the things
that I attempted to research on was on how everyone was cleaning their records.
It did not take me long to figure out that after reading the wife's tales, concoctions,
mixtures, special formula's, that either you had way to much time on your hands
or this was something that you refused to share your wisdom with. My thoughts after
purchasing the amount of records that I did, in the short length of time that I
did it in. I soon realized that I was not the only one that felt that the discription
not only sounded very tedious, but the actual involvement would be a total disaster.
Which brings me to the end of this long drawn out story.

"Denatured Alcohol"

You can find denatured alcohol at any local hardware store, either in the paint
or stain department. It will bring your vinyls back to their original shine, it
will even take off light scratches. Applied properly, on a clean smooth rag. A
rag that you would not hesitate cleaning your Raybans with! You can clean the ink
markings off your album covers, and labels. I have been using this for years. Many
things you can use denatured alcohol for. Pet stains! Especially dog or cat urine.
Not only will this take the stain right out of the carpet or drapes, but also the
smell.

Of all the problems that I had along my path of learning, and gaining knowledge
about vinyls, this is one that I had not a problem with. And to be quite honest,
I wish that anyone that is reading this, to pass it on.

Whats in it for me?

Well, hopefully one day I might recieve clean records.

So, thats it? Its simple, cheap, and I assure you, does the job. I have been using
it for years, so I know exactly the amount to apply to achieve what I want it to
do. My best advice to you would be before you decide to apply any of this to one
of your treasured discs. (practice) first on a record that you would not think nothing
of throwing away if you have to. To much applied on a label will not only take
off the unwanted ink marks, but will take the whole label, color and all. So please
practice, practice, practice.

"Important"

This does not work on old 78's because of the die that they used back then to make
the disc. I do know of an easy way to clean them also. If you want to know how
I do them, feel free to email me."
